My name is Christian Hedegaard and I work with small, medium and large organisations, assisting with e.g. finding the right donors and partnerships for development projects all over the world.
I offer a variety of services within the sphere of fundraising, project development and project proposal writing. This can also include e.g. drafting of a Logical Framework Approach (LFA) and formulating a Theory of Change (ToC).

This consultant agency was founded in 2022 as a result of a passionate wish to contribute in making a better world for all people. I hope through our joint effort that we can contribute to changing the world, one project at a time.
Curriculum Vitae
I have been working with fundraising for the past 10 years within the Danish NGO and educational sector. I have vast experience in project development, grant writing, strategic fundraising and budgeting having been actively involved in more than 270 project proposals.
During my experience as a fundraiser I have gained valuable skills in analyzing trends and potential donors for projects, working with project development aimed at donors and ministries in Denmark, the EU and internationally based organisations/donors.
I am quite accustomed to running project development processes ranging from initial idea (two to three sentences) to finished proposal. This process often involves finding the right donor for the project while adding tailor-made elements to ensure a match between the organisation behind the proposal and the recipient (donor).
I also have experiences with writing tenders for both the EU and Danish ministries. During my professional career I have taken part in submitting successful project proposals in Denmark, Scandinavia, the EU, Africa, South-East Asia and South America.
I offer a variety of different services regarding project development and fundraising for projects.
My approach will always take into consideration the context into which your organisation and partners operate. I value a cooperative and participatory process when it comes to developing solid project proposals.

Development of project management infrastructure at your organization (what is needed, how to do it, etc.)
My hourly fee is 750,00 DKK
(not including Value Added Tax – VAT)
Given that no project nor partnership are the same, my fee can vary depending on the service required, timespan and volume.

Inspiration
Driven by a desire to assist various organisations with making a difference through development projects, I am also inspired by different people and events.
First of all, I am inspired in my work by a simple sentence by Mahatma Gandhi:
‘Be the change that you want to see in the world’
In 2005 a UK alliance of various organisations, unions, celebrities and enterprises initiated a campaign entitled “Make Poverty History”. Since then, I have never been able to forget this notion of making poverty history. How does one make something history?
In part inspired by this campaign in the UK I chose to engage in writing and developing projects – hoping to contribute to the eradication of poverty, making it something to read about in history books.
Origin of the name
Why the name Rubiconsult you might ask?
The name of the agency is somewhat borrowed from Roman history – where Julius Caesar crossed the river of Rubicon in 49 B.C. Paired with what the agency does – consulting – this lead to Rubiconsult.
This crossing in 49 B.C. has later on in history become synonymous with taking a massive leap or step forward, not being able to go back. This is exactly what I want to be doing, taking massive steps forward, steps that might lead to lasting positive change and impact for the people who need it the most.
As Caesar put it back then: ‘the die is cast’. I cannot go back.
I hope to move forward in creating change together with you and your organisation, one project at a time.
